Autumn is upon us once again and it\u2019s time for us to issue\nan invitation to poets and poetry-lovers near and far. As usual, we are proud\nand excited to announce the feast of poetry to be found in our 2019 programme.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the events this year will be workshops and poetry\nreadings with the main guest-poets Nuala\nN\u00ed Dh\u00f3mhnaill<\/strong> and Eil\u00e9an N\u00ed Chuillean\u00e1in, <\/strong>a lecture on the poetry of M\u00edche\u00e1l \u00d3 Guith\u00edn<\/strong> given by S\u00e9amus\nBarra \u00d3 S\u00failleabh\u00e1in<\/strong>, a seminar on the future of publishing Irish language poetry with M\u00edche\u00e1l \u00d3\nConghaile, Ciara N\u00ed \u00c9 <\/strong>and P\u00e1draig \u00d3 Snodaigh <\/strong>chaired by P\u00e1draig Mac Fhearghasa<\/strong> and this year’s festival concert, the\nmulti-media show Siar agus Aniar<\/strong>, a co-production of IMRAM<\/strong> and\nthe Royal Irish Academy<\/strong>, based on the Irish language works included in\nthe book <\/em>Modern Ireland in 100 Artworks<\/em><\/strong>, of which M\u00e1ir\u00edn Nic Eoin<\/strong> was\nIrish Editor. There will also be<\/em> book launches, open poetry readings,\na \u2018booley night\u2019 of music, singing and poems, a heritage walk and more.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most of the events take place\nin Baile an Fheirt\u00e9araigh itself, but the festival concert will be in the\nBlasket Centre in D\u00fan Chaoin, and the music and poetry session on Sunday\nmorning will be held in the Nun’s Chapel of An D\u00edseart in Daingean U\u00ed Ch\u00fais,\nwith it’s Harry Clarke stained glass windows.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
