In 2023, Aifric Mac Aodha was appointed writer-in-residence at DCU. She is the Irish-language poetry editor of Poetry Ireland Review, gorse and The Stinging Fly. Her first poetry collection, Gabh\u00e1il Syrinx (The Taking of Syrinx), was published by An Sagart in 2010 and her poetry has been published in various magazines and journals, including POETRY Young Irish Poets. Her work has been translated into many languages, including French, German, Italian, Spanish and Czech. She has been awarded several bursaries by The Arts Council and, in recent years, she has read at numerous festivals in Europe, America, Canada and India. Her latest collection, Foreign News, with translations by David Wheatley, was published by The Gallery Press in 2017.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Se\u00e1n Lysaght was born in Cork in 1957 and brought up in Limerick city. He was educated at Crescent College and University College Dublin. Following several years living abroad, in Switzerland and Germany, he returned to Ireland in 1990 and taught for many years as a lecturer in Heritage Studies at the Galway Mayo Institute of Technology. He lives in Westport, Co Mayo with his wife Jessica. He is the author of several volumes of poems, including <\/em>Scarecrow (1998), <\/em>The Mouth of a River (2007) and <\/em>Carnival Masks (2014) from Gallery Press. He has also written prose about wildlife and landscape: <\/em>Eagle Country (2018) and <\/em>Wild Nephin (2020).
